These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Chyi Xiang ("we", "us", "our", or "Developer") regarding your use of the Lumi mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Lumi is a mobile application that provides:
To use Lumi, you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country for digital consent. By accessing the App, you confirm you meet this requirement. Minors should use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
We grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices for non-commercial purposes, strictly in accordance with these Terms.

Your subscription and access are managed through your Apple App Store account. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure.
We respect your ownership of any content you create within the App, such as custom affirmations. By using the App, you allow us to process your data as necessary to provide the service. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription data anonymously, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
Lumi offers optional "Pro" features which require a paid subscription. Transactions are processed securely by Apple's App Store.
We may offer free trials for new users. If not canceled before the trial expires, you will be automatically enrolled in the paid subscription plan selected. We reserve the right to revoke trials if abuse is detected.
The Lumi App—including its code, design, interface, graphics, and underlying technology—is the exclusive property of Chyi Xiang. It is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You have no ownership rights in the App itself.
Some content within the App, such as certain quotes or affirmations, may be sourced from the public domain or third parties. We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any content infringes on your rights, please contact us.
You own the custom affirmations and content you create. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
"Lumi" and our logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
Lumi is NOT a medical tool. The content provided, including affirmations and mood tracking, is for self-improvement and entertainment only. It is not professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Do not use this App as a substitute for professional care. If you have concerns about your mental health, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. Never delay seeking professional advice because of something you read in this App.
If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately (e.g., 911 in the US). Lumi is not designed to assist in emergencies.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW (AND SUBJECT TO ANY MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS IN YOUR JURISDICTION), THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Specifically, we make no warranty that:
EU Consumer Notice: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may have additional statutory rights under local consumer protection laws (such as Directive (EU) 2019/770) regarding the conformity of digital goods. This disclaimer does not affect those mandatory rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

You acknowledge that the limitations of liability set forth in this section are fundamental elements of the agreement between you and us. The App would not be provided without such limitations.
Our App relies on various third-party tools to function effectively, such as RevenueCat (for subscriptions) and PostHog (for analytics). By using Lumi, you acknowledge that:
We are constantly improving Lumi. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such changes or interruptions.
We may revise this agreement periodically to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top constitutes the effective date of the new terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated agreement. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the App.
You can stop using Lumi at any time by deleting the App from your device. Please note that deleting the App does not automatically cancel your subscription; you must manually cancel it through your Apple ID settings to avoid future charges.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately and without notice if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to us or other users.
Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you by these Terms will instantly cease. You must stop all use of the App and delete it from your devices. Provisions regarding ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability will survive termination.
Lumi is operated from our location and we make no claims that it is appropriate or available for use in all jurisdictions. If you access the App from outside our home jurisdiction, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
